Mrs. Marion D. Hendrickson, age 91 of Waynesboro, died Tuesday evening, June 30, 2015, in the Burke Medical Center.

A memorial service for Mrs. Hendrickson will be held by the family at a later date.

A native of Westville, IL, Mrs. Hendrickson was a daughter of the late Michael and Pauline Begekis. She was a 1942 graduate of Hoopeston High School. On August 14, 1948, she married Harold W. Hendrickson and had a family of one girl and four boys. She and Harold loved camping and spent three years traveling around the United States living out of their camper.  They finally settled in Ellenton, FL, for the next 20 years and then moved to Waynesboro in 2006. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 67 years; Harold W. Hendrickson and is survived by her daughter; Nancy Strauss, her sons; Neil (June) Hendrickson, Tom (Kim) Hendrickson, Larry Hendrickson, and Harry (Marilyn) Hendrickson, her grandchildren; Chrissy (Toby) Johnston, Stefanie (Zeke) Thompkins, Sean Strauss, Angie (Jason) Hicks, Ryan (Jennifer) Hendrickson, John (Izzy) Hendrickson and her great-grandchildren; Anja Hendrickson, Peyton Hendrickson, Jayden Hendrickson, Finley Tompkins, Rhemy Tompkins, Ethan Johnston, and Reese Johnston
