Mrs. Margaret Brassell Usry, age 79 of West Main Street Gibson, Georgia died Friday evening in the Gibson Health & Rehabilitation center.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday December 23, in the Magnolia Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Adams & Rev. Tommy Harrwell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Richard Drassell, Jut Hughes, Billy Silas, Chad Silas, Barrell Usry & David Kitchens.
Margaret was born August 12, 1934 in Glascock, County a daughter of the late Samuel & Willie Mae Kent Brassell, she was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school. She retired from Stapelton garment after more than 25 years of service as a seamstress and worked as a Nurses aid at Gibson Health & Rehabilitation center.
Mrs. Usry was preceded in death by her parents, & is survived by: daughters, Pat (Tom) Usry of Augusta, Lee Philips of Gibson, Melissa (Soney) Wadford of Grovetown, son Victor (Robin) Usry of Gibson, sister, Lois Adams of Thomson, brother, Ansley Kitchens, of Waynesboro, 3 grandchildren, & 9 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, December 22, at the funeral home.
Taylor-Sheppard Funeral Home, 57 College Place, Gibson is in charge of arrangements.
