Margaret (Lankford) Chalker

GIBSON -  Mrs. Margaret L. Chalker, age 79, of Chalker Road, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014, in the Georgia Regents Medical Center in Augusta, Ga.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 4, 2014, in the Magnolia Baptist Church in Gibson,  with Rev. Randall Whitaker and Rev. James Canada officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Gilmer, Jefferey Chalker, Leonard Knotts, Jut Hughes, Curl Chalker and Robert Milford.

A native of Harlem, Mrs. Chalker was a daughter of the late Robert Miller and Lerea Green Lankford. She was a homemaker and a member of Magnolia Baptist church in Gibson.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Barbara Hughes and sister; Dorothy Milford and is survived by her loving husband; Hollis James Chalker, Sr., son; Hollis James Chalker, Jr. (Tonya), grandchildren; Will, Colton, and Morgan Chalker, Lisa Black, and Jutson Hughes, all of Gibson.

The Chalker family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, October 3, 2014, at the funeral home.
