Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Mrs. Marcia Purser Jones age 93, who died Thursday morning August 27, 2015 in the University Hospital Augusta. Mrs. Jones a native of Cochran had lived in Louisville for many years, She was a daughter of the late John P. & Lennie Bea Jones Purser. She was a homemaker and member of Louisville United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. Along with her husband Reese Mrs. Jones owned & operated the Jones Shell services station, the Jones Burger and the Jones motel in Louisville for many years. Marcia greatest love and joy was her children & grandchildren. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents, husband Reese Griffin Jones, Sr. 5 siblings Louise Campbell, Marie Etheredge, Ralph Purser, Johnny Purser, and Frances Cochran and a son-in-law, Thomas Frost, II and is survived by 3 children, Reese & Kay Jones, Jr. of Waynesboro, Pam & Olin Cannon of Martinez and Kim Frost of Bartow 8 grandchildren, Brett Jones, Bryan Jones, Brad Jones, Ben Cannon, Elizabeth Cannon, Drew Cannon, Thomas Frost III & Alexandria Frost, 9 great grandchildren, Tony Jones, Hunter Jones, Hannah Jones, Brantley Jones, Bailey Jones, Caleb Jones, Gracie Jones, Fisher Jones, James Cannon, 3 great-great grandchildren, Boe, Bella & Blake, several nieces & nephews. The Jones family will receive friends 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday August 29, 2015 at the funeral home with a private service for the family following.
