Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Lucy S. Pulliam, age 83, of Gibson who died Thursday afternoon, March 13, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday afternoon, March 16, in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Gibson with Rev. Mike Timmerman officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Augusta. Serving as pallbearers: Billy Shelton, Will Shelton, Thomas Walden, Mike Davis, Steven Parish, and Jim Parish. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Hyman, Clay Walden, Jackie Haywood, Jeremy Kelly, & Reginald Gilmore.
A native of Warren County, Mrs. Pulliam, was a daughter of the late W.R. Bill Shelton and Kate Bales Shelton. Lucy retired from Barton & Barton Investments after many years as a bookkeeper. She was a homemaker, always putting her family first and serving the Lord through her lifestyle and participation in whatever church she attended. Lucy's latest church membership was with Gibson First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Pulliam was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lewis D. Pulliam, siblings, Melvin Shelton, Betty Jo Hyman, and Faye Walden and is survived by daughters & sons-in-laws, Marcia P. Parish (Steve) of Thomson, Harriett P. Price of Lexington, SC. and April P. Hargett (Chris) of Gastonia, NC., 9 grandchildren, Steven Parish, Jim Parish, Alex Price, Ashley Davis, Amber Price, Amber Kennedy, Andrew Hargett, Jessica McBride, and Victoria Huff, 15 great grandchildren, Logan, Liam, Kayleigh, and Maverick Parish, Maliyah and Kaden Davis, Thea Price, Wrenley Grace Howard, Nate, Gabe, Olivia Grace Kennedy, Rio Bailon, Naloni McBride, and Owen Hargett.
If so desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Gibson First Baptist Church building fund.
