Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville the death and funeral service of Mrs. Lillie Ann McGaha Goodwin, 84, Bartow, formerly of Pickens, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, at her home in Bartow, Georgia surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Pickens, she was the wife of 54 years to Sammy Edward Goodwin, and a daughter of the late Lem and Martha Chambers McGaha. She is preceded in death by her husband and her grandson Corey Thomas Cowart.

She was a homemaker who loved to spend time with her family. She was a member of Morning Star Independent Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include five daughters, Cathy Durham (Brian), Shirl Cowart, Ginger Hadden (Johnny), Tammy Claxton (Jim), and Betty Rachael (Brian), a son, Donnie Goodwin (Cindy); her siblings, Rebecca Burrell (Jimmy)and Johnny McGaha (Cheryl) and 11 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Goodwin will be conducted at 12:30 PM Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 until 12:00 PM at the mortuary.

Mrs. Goodwin’s beautiful smile, generous spirit, loving nature and her infectious laugh will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. We invite you to join us in remembering a remarkable woman who filled our lives with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
