Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Charles Larry Cowart, age 58 of Brett Road, Wadley, Georgia who died Monday evening, February 2, 2015 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, February 5th, at St. John's United Methodist Church in Wadley, with Rev. David Boggs and Rev. Hugh Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cleve Lamb, Bill Miller, Ben Miller, Dale Williamson, Tim Smith, Tommy Jones, Rocky Gilmore and Terry Marsh. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jay Sasser and Josh Cowart.

A native of Louisville, Larry was a son of Cephus and Josephine Black Cowart of Wadley.  He graduated from Wadley High School, was a self-employed logger, a member of Ogeechee Valley Country Club and St. John's United Methodist Church.

Mr. Cowart was preceded in death by his father, and survived by his loving wife; Teresa of Wadley, mother, daughters; Melissa Brown (Jason) of Statesboro and Ashley Cowart and (Daniel Davis) of Kite, stepson; Joshua Arrington (Katie) of Wadley, stepdaughter; Stormi Deriso of Wadley, brothers; Gary Cowart (Rita), Joel Cowart (Brenda) and Mike Cowart (Sandy) all of Wadley, and 4 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 4th, at the funeral home.
