Joyce Fostain (Haywood) Knox

Louisville - Mrs. Joyce Fostain Haywood Sammons Knox, age 77 of 7729 Clarks Mill Road died Thursday, February 21, 2013 in the Jefferson Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 24, 2013, in the Mitchell Baptist Church with the Rev. Adrian Burrell officiating and burial following in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerrell Sammons, Ricky Sammons, Jacky Haywood and Jimmy Haywood.
A native of Mitchell, GA, Mrs. Knox was a daughter of the late James Wesley and Mattie Will Johnson Haywood. She was a loving wife and homemaker and enjoyed helping others.
Mrs. Knox is preceded in death by her parents, sister Marie Todd, brothers Jack and Allen Haywood, husbands Lester Sammons and Kenneth Knox, and is survived by a sister Jimmie Smith of Marietta sister-in-laws Masie Haywood and Dahlia Haywood, both of Mitchell, a very special niece and care giver Lue Ann Marsh of Louisville, several nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews and many friends.
The Knox family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 PM Saturday, February 23, at the funeral home.
