Johnny Ray Stamey, Jr., age 15 of Highway 172, Edge Hill, died Friday morning March 15, 2013.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Monday in the Fellowship Baptist Church, burial will follow in the church Cemetery.
A native of Augusta Johnny Ray was an 8th grade student at Louisville middle school.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frances & James Stamey, Maternal grandfather, Wesley Eugene Hollis and is survived by his parents, Johnny Ray & Laura Ann Hollis Stamey, Sr., of Edge Hill, sisters, Christen Stamey of Hephzibah, Carol Stamey of Dearing, Ashley Stamey of Thomson, brother, Dylan Stamey of Edge Hill, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The Stamey family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, March 17, at the funeral home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Sheppard Funeral Home to help with expenses.
Sheppard Funeral Home, 57 College Place, Gibson, 706-598-2301, is in charge of arrangements.
