J.H. Usry

Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mr. J. H. Usry, Jr, age 84, of West Main Street, Gibson who died Thursday, May 23, 2019 at his residences.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday May 25, in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor funeral home in Gibson with Rev. Tommy Harwell & Rev. Ed Chance officiating. Burial will be in the Gibson City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lee Griffin, Kevin Usry, Bob Foster, Keith Wall, Bobby Odenweller & Matt Milburn.

Mr. Usry was a lifelong residence of Gibson. He was a son of the late John Hammond Usry & Thelma Brown Usry. J. H. was a Barber and owner of Concept Styling in Gibson for 37 years and was a long-time member of Magnolia Baptist Church.

Mr. Usry was preceded in death by his parents, son, Gary Usry, brother, Marvin Usry, sister, Mary Ann Rabun and is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Mariam Usry, of Gibson, daughter & son in-law, Debbie & Bobby Odenweller of Gibson, daughter in-law, Lisa Usry of Gibson, sister, Juanita Boeglen of Grovetown, grandson, Austin & Morgan Usry of Gibson, granddaughter, Autumn & Matt Milburn of Gibson, great grandchildren, Hammond Usry, Lawson Usry, Brynlee Milburn & Baylee Milburn all of Gibson.

The family will receive friend one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
