Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death of Mr. Jerry Layton Morrison, age 81 of Gibson who died Friday, October 14, 2022, at his residence.

A native of Trion, Jerry was the son of Layton Edward Morrison and Willie Belle Walters Morrison and a resident of Gibson for many years.  Jerry proudly served in the United States Army for 6 years during the Vietnam Era and he retired from Automotive Paint & Body Work after many years.  He loved being able to collect antique advertising signs and had a great love for his dogs.  He will be truly missed by his family.

Jerry is predeceased by his parents and survived by his loving wife of 33 years Betty Morrison, 5 children, 2 stepchildren, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
