Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Jeffrey Mark Davis "Jeff" Davis, age 64 of Gibson who died Friday evening August 30, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Gibson with Rev. Kyle Downs & Rev. Sam Griswell officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Davis, Alston Brassell, John Zimmerman, Glenn Metts, Warren Pittman, David Usry and Dennis Davis.

A native of Warrenton, Mr. Davis lived most of his life in Gibson. He had worked many years with Thomson Company in the Cutting Room before working maintenance at Augusta Newsprint and retiring after 35 years of service. He was a long-time member of Mt. Beaulah Baptist Church in Warrenton.  His hobbies were hunting, fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and taking care of his kitty cats. Jeff was always willing to lend a hand and could fix almost anything you asked him to. He is going to be missed dearly.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother Lucille McGahee Davis, a brother Dewayne Davis, father & mother-in-law Daniel and Sara Shelton, brother-in-law Donald Shelton, sister-in-law, Jeanne Palmer and is survived by his wife, Dianne Davis, father, Bobby Davis of Warrenton, daughter, Serena Zimmerman (John) of Gibson, son Josh Davis (Stacy) of Martinez, brother, Steve Davis (Jennifer) of Wrens, grandchildren, Paisley Neal, Presley Anne Zimmerman, and Fynnley Davis.  Jeff also leaves behind his cherished kitty, Moe. Many nieces and nephews.

The Davis family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday September 3, 2024, at the funeral home.
