Mr. Sammons was born and raised in Glascock County along with his four sisters. He was a truck driver, working 31 years with Georgia Pacific and retiring in 2021 from Smith Farm Supply. He always loved meeting new people on his route, reconnecting with old friends, and spreading the Gospel wherever he went. Jarrel was known by many people from all over, from South Georgia all the way to New York. Being the family man he was, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He made many special memories with his wife traveling anywhere, whether it was to Jay & Maria's in New York, visiting the Grand Canyon, or anywhere in between. Ultimately, his favorite times were when his entire family would gather for Sunday dinners, where he made sure his family knew how much he loved them.

Jarrel is preceded in death by his parents Hershel Terrell Sammons and Eloise Sammons, grandparents Willis & Georgia Sammons, sisters: Mary Jane "Janie" Radford Johnson, Jackie Elizabeth Sammons Mowery, uncles: JC Sammons, George Sammons, Eugene Sammons, Lester Sammons, Thomas Sammons, Hugh Sammons, and William Sammons.

Survivors include: his wife of 29 years Karen Sammons' daughters: Kristie Sammons (Chris), Heather Smith (Lee), Amanda Renee Moore (Blake), son, Adam Jarrel Sammons, grandchildren: Kassidy, Cheyeann, Waylon, Destiny, Ivey, Kalyn, Riley, Macon, Logan, Nathan, Jessie, Josie, Hunter, Adalyn, Sadie, Ethan, Sophia Grace, and Kelsey James, great grandchildren: Savannah, Landon, and Bella, sisters, Pam Williford (Logan), Judy Solie (Richard), stepmother Peggy Sammons, and many more family and friends; also bonus family: Jay & Maria Casper, Kayla Ernst (Andrew) & Phillip Casper (Jenna).

The family may be contacted at their residence and will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
