Jane Yonce Deloach

July 21, 1944 — October 11, 2022

Waynesboro

Jane Yonce DeLoach of Waynesboro, Ga., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 11. She was 78 years old.

Jane always said she treasured four things in life: her faith, her family, her friends, and the University of Georgia.

Jane graduated from the Academy of Richmond County, attended college at the University of Georgia, Texas Christian University and graduated from Georgia Southern.  She spent countless years teaching at Edmund Burke Academy in various capacities.

She loved her family well as a devoted wife for 58 years, a loving and supportive mother, the best "Nana" that any 12 grandchildren and one great grandson could have ever wanted, and a beloved aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews and their spouses and children.

Jane was predeceased by her mother, Altheus Timmerman Yonce, and father, Herbert Milledge Yonce.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, George Lynwood DeLoach of Waynesboro, four daughters, Deborah DeLoach Mobley (Jimmy) of Waynesboro, Laura DeLoach Mobley (Bill) of Waynesboro, Cynthia DeLoach Armes (Martin) of Raleigh, N.C., and Mildred DeLoach Mobley (Stan) of Augusta, 12 grandchildren who were the light of her life for the past three plus decades, Daniel DeLoach Mobley (Marle) of Sardis, Thomas Watson Mobley II of Savannah, William Patrick Mobley (Lauren) of Atlanta, McKenzie Armes Stagg (Winston) of Atlanta, Carter Brooks Mobley of Waynesboro, George Milledge Armes of Nashville, Tenn., James Lloyd Mobley (Lauryn) of Waynesboro, Wells Sutton Armes of Chapel Hill, N.C., Sarah Ashley Pratt Armes of Raleigh, N.C., Mildred Jane Mobley of Augusta, Cullen Brinson Mobley of Augusta and Carson Brooks Mobley of Augusta, one great grandson Daniel Riggs Mobley of Sardis, sister Anne Yonce Pendarvis of Augusta, and brother Robert Allen Yonce of San Diego, Calif.

The family extends their sincere appreciation for the love and care provided by Karen Geeter.

There are not words to express how much this sweet, caring, wonderful lady did for our family and how much she meant to us. We will never forget her and will forever cherish all the memories with which she leaves us. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, October 14 at Noon at Waynesboro First United Methodist Church, 802 Liberty Street, Waynesboro. Visitation will precede from 10 am-Noon.
