Jacky Ray Coxwell, Sr.

Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death of Mr. Jacky Ray Coxwell, Sr. age 70, of Lampp Road in Gibson who died Saturday morning June 13, 2026.

A native of Glascock County, Mr. Coxwell, was the son of Pauline Byrd. He retired from Pollard Lumber after 40 years of service. Jacky enjoyed going to the Gibson Senior Center, but his greatest pastime was spending time with his family.

Jacky was preceded in death by his mother, son Matthew Gaines, sister Judy Bailey and is survived by, son Jacky Coxwell, Jr., (Regan) of Lincolnton, daughters, Angel Ashe, of Barnwell, SC., and Amanda Hattaway, (Chris) if Gibson, 8 grandchildren, Madie Coxwell, Casyn Coxwell, Abbigail Hattaway, Beau Ashe, Luke Ashe, Autumn Ashe, Charlie Ashe, and Wyatt Hattaway several nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Bethal Church Cemetery in Gibson.
