Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Jack E. Gaston, age 78 of U. S. 1 South, Wadley, who died Sunday, March 27, 2016 in the Jefferson Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in the Moxley United Methodist Church with Rev. David Boggs and Rev. Chris Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Moxley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Gary Ware, Doug Dill, Harold Gaston, Charlie Roy Hall, John Cox, Butch Ware, Keith Hall, Bobby Gaston, Sam Gaston, Bruce Sammons and Albert Hall.
A native of Jefferson County, Mr. Gaston was a son of the late William Robert Gaston and Georgia Effie Deriso Gaston. Jack was a graduate of Wadley High school, lifelong member of Moxley United Methodist Church, served in the National Guard Army and retired from Georgia Power.
Mr. Gaston was preceded in death by his parents, and brother; Sonny Gaston, and is survived by son, Greg & Jan Gaston of Wadley, daughter; Salena & Clay Grace of Wadley, grandchildren; Mallory Gaston, Madison Gaston, Haley Grace and Hannah Grace, brother; Roy & Mary Lois Gaston of Wadley, sister in law; Julia Gaston of Wadley, several nieces and nephews.
The Gaston family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the funeral home.
The family will gather at the home of Greg and Jan Gaston, 2216 U. S. Highway 319, Wadley, Georgia 30477.
