Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Thomas Jefferson Jaber Lampp Sr., age 90 of Gibson, who died Thursday morning November 22, 2018 in the University Hospital McDuffie.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday November 25, 2018 in the Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Mira Barrett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Lampp, Stevie Lampp, Richard Brassell, Tony Lampp, Michael Powell & David DeMund. Honorary Pallbearer will be David Usry.
A native and lifelong resident of Gibson Mr. Lampp was a son of the late William T. Lampp & Leana McNeil Lampp. He retired after 32 years of service from the Georgia Department of transportation as a motor grader operator and was a lifelong member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
Jaber was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 65 & ½ years Barbara Powell Lampp, daughter, Ann Marsh, grandson son, Christopher Lee McZilkey, brother, Dick Lampp, sister, May Reese and is survived by, sons, Lewis Lampp of Gibson, Tom and Judy Lampp of Gibson, sister, Catherine Marsh of Gibson, brother, Ray & Fay Lampp of Thomson, caregiver, Katie DeMund, grandchildren, Dawn Kent, Darrell McZilkey, Laura Wheeles & John Jones, 6 great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00 til 8:00 PM Saturday November 24, at the funeral home.
