Iris (Creed) Griswell

Mrs. Iris C. Griswell, age 80, of Eat0nton Highway Haddock, Ga., died Monday morning in the Coliseum Medical Center, in Macon.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday in Taylor Funeral Home, Gibson with Rev. Charles Hanson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell City Cemetery.
A native of Johnston, S.C., Mrs. Griswell was a daughter of the late Horace C Creed, Sr. and Dorothy Cullum Creed. She retired after 35 years of service as an inspector with the Kibler Cookie Company in Macon, and was a member of Mitchell United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Harry Stanley and Joe Griswell, sister Dorothy Creed Fulp, brother H.C. "Red" Creed, Jr. and is survived by sons Chuck and Suzanne Cooler of Townsend, Ga., and Mearl Cooler of Haddock, Ga., daughters Margie Fay Bragg of Haddock, and Shirley Griswell Tanton of Texas, sisters Eva Janette Dubois of Savannah, Mary Frances Lee of Richmond Hill, and Cindy Creed and Edward Goethe of Savannah, Ga., 8 Grandchildren, several great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Taylor Funeral Home, 57 College Place, Gibson, is in charge of arrangements.
