Mrs. Heather Irwin Phillips, age 38, of Blackjack Road, Louisville, died Thursday, October 31, 2013.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 4, in the Louisville First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Cain and Mr. Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in the Rose Dhu Cemetery in Vidette. Pallbearers will be Jeff Irby, Mike Irby, Jason Irby, William Irwin, Walker Irwin, and Richard McFarland.
Heather was a native of Fulton County but had lived in Louisville for many years. She had worked for the CDC in Atlanta and had recently graduated from Ogeechee Fall Line Technical College with a business degree. She was a member of the Louisville First Baptist Church and the sanctuary choir. Heather was a loving mother and her main concern was her children.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Nicole Phillips, grandparents James and Clara Irwin, and Doris Gould and is survived by: three sons, Jordan Phillips, Elijah Phillips, and Timothy Phillips; and parents David and Becky Irwin, all of Louisville.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, at the funeral home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Phillips children's fund C/O Taylor Funeral Home.
