Harold was a man who truly loved the Lord, his family, his church, and his cows and dogs. He loved the simple and meaningful things in life. The farm life he led for all of his life was more than a walk for him; it was his peace, his pride, and his reflection of the life he built with dedication and love. Harold had a special talent when it came to his farm equipment. If something wasn’t running smoothly, chances were he’d find a way to “fix” it until it wasn’t fixable. Around the farm it became a joke that any piece of equipment he touched might end up torn up, but somehow, he always had a story and a reason to grin and go with it and move on.
Harold was a lifelong member of Jordan Chapel Church in Edgehill. He was a Sunday school superintendent for many years. He also played the drums in the church choir and was truly dedicated to his church and even played the drums at church a week before his death.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Lamb & Evydell Williford Lamb, his first wife Linda Brookins Lamb, brothers, Larry Lamb and Earl Lamb, and is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cathy Thomas Lamb; two daughters, Angela Lamb of Edgehill and Morgan Lamb Clark (Heath) of Thomson; a son, Robert ‘Bobby’ Harold Lamb, Jr., of Augusta; six grandchildren: Blake Lamb of Florida, Lyn Barrow of Gibson, Ayden Barrow of Edghill, Brinley Irby of Gibson, Luke Clark of Thomson, and Bella Clark of Thomson; one great-granddaughter, Magnolia Neal of Gibson; one sister, Christy Lamb Williams (Joe) of Gibson, sister in-laws, Linda Hannah (Travis), Becky Hinton, Sandra Kitchens, and Alice Hardin (Tim), and a number a nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
