Glynn Edward Johnson

Mr. Glynn Edward Johnson, age 78 of Lake Alfred, FL, formally of Mitchell, Georgia, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 12, 2015 in the Mitchell Baptist Church with Rev. Mary Griswell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be:  Eric Scheiner, Donnie DeJarnette, Andy Rodgers, Jimmy Wilcher, Earl Hutto, Trey Price, Ted Cooper and Steve Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was born June 11, 1937, in Sandersville, GA, to Edward Stephen and Lizzie Ellen (Parrish) Johnson.  He retired after 25 years from Mac Asphalt as a road construction superintendent and also retired after 20 years from WL Cobb Construction.  He was a member of the Winter Haven Moose Lodge and enjoyed being with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, great granddaughter; Skyler DeJarnette, brother; Everett and sister; Margaret.  Glynn is survived by son; Mike (Doreen) Johnson of Orlando, FL, daughters; Cindy (Marc) Scheiner of Davie, FL, and Gwen (Dave) Smith of Alto, GA, brother; Gene Johnson of Mitchell, GA,  sisters; Eunice Wilcher of Gibson, GA, Mattie Ann Price of Claxton, GA, Ollie Mae Cooper of Mitchell, GA and Geneva Kitchens of Gibson, GA,  grandchildren; Michael, Matthew, Eric, Sara, Donnie & Justin,  3 great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.

The Johnson family will receive friend's 10:00 AM until service time Saturday in the Mitchell Baptist Church.
