Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and services of Mr. Gerald Wayne Simpson, age 70 of Log Cabin Road, Gibson, who died Monday, November 20, 2017 in the VA Medical Center, Augusta.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 2, 2017 in the Mill Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Hadden officiating.
A native of Hartwell, GA, Mr. Simpson was the son of the late Weldon and Estelle Simpson. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, a self-employed photographer, and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ralph Simpson and Keith Simpson and is survived by a sister, Ann (Herbert) Atkinson; two brothers, Roy Simpson and Kevin (D'Ann) Simpson; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Simpson family will receive friends following the service on Saturday in the church.
