LOUISVILLE - Mr. George Harry Walker, age 75 of Forest Street died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 14, 2013 in the Louisville United Methodist Church with Rev. David Hibberts officiating. Mr. Walker will lie in state at 10:00 AM before the service. Burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy New, William Hadden, Brinson Lamb, Larry Johnson, Wayne Walker and Glenn Walker. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Men's Club.
A native of Washington County, Harry was a son of the late Wilson and Evelyn Carr Walker. He was a retired civil engineer with the Ga. Dept. of Transportation after 34 years of service, a member of the Louisville United Methodist Church and the Louisville Jaycees.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Ann Hadden Walker of Louisville, a son Keith Walker of Atlanta and several cousins.
The Walker family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, December 13, 2013 at the funeral home.
