Taylor funeral home and cremation care of Louisville announces the death of Mrs. Gail Thomas Hattaway, age 83, of Louisville who died Wednesday November 8, 2023.

A native of Jefferson County, Gail was a daughter of the late Herbert D. Thomas & Emmie Mae Harvley Thomas. She was a retired self-employed Hairdresser, and member of Louisville Methodist Church.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Meady Thomas and husband, John Thomas Hattaway.  She is survived by a daughter & son in-law, Donna and Stephen Lyons of Savannah, Son & daughter in-law, Bobby and Dana Samples of Grovetown; grandchildren Macey (Caleb) Johnson, Madison Samples, John (Megan) Lyons, Matthew Lyons and Thomas Samples and great grandchildren Landon and Riley Johnson; sisters Betty Hattaway and Connie (Kirk) Robinson and sister-in-law Cindy Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in the Louisville City Cemetery at 11 am on November 18, 2023.
