Taylor Funeral Home of Waynesboro announces the death of Mrs. Frances C. (Frankie) Horton, age 92, of Waynesboro, who died Sunday morning, December 6, 2015, in the Brentwood Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held at the graveside 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 8, in the Rose Dhu Cemetery in Vidette, with Rev. Tom Oliver officiating. The Horton family will receive friends immediately following the services.
A native and lifelong resident of Burke County, Mrs. Horton was the daughter of the late Otis Cliett & Fannie Trowbridge Cliett. She graduated from Georgia Teachers College and worked 30 years as a clerk with the ASCS office in Burke County. Frankie was a lifelong Presbyterian, being a member of the Vidette Presbyterian Church and the Waynesboro First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by her parents, husband Manton Horton, Sr., a brother, Otis Cliett, Jr., and is survived by; son & daughter-in-law, Manton & Glenda Horton, Jr. of Waynesboro, granddaughters; Jennifer & Keith Quick of Brooklet, and Amanda T. & Jeff McKneely of Stockbridge, great-grandson, Jordan Herrington, great-granddaughters, Megan McKneely, Macey McKneely and Jenna McKneely, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers family request memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
