Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Ethan Pinkston, age 61 of Louisville owner and operator of Pinkston Plumbing, who died on Thursday, November 21, 2019.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday November 30, 2019 in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Wheeler, Rev. Charles Holloway, Rev. Wayne Floyd, Prophetess Darlene Cobb and Minister Rose Burley officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot of the Dixon Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Edward Pinkston, Jr., Eric Pinkston, Henry Laster, Jr., Shayton Pinkston, Terrance Jordan, Daris Pinkston, Jarin Pinkston and Warren Pinkston.  Honorary Pallbearers will be the Louisville High School Class of 1976.
A native of Jefferson County, Ethan was born on January 4, 1958, to the late Thomas and Nellie Pinkston He was one of thirteen children. At an early age, Ethan united with the Dixon Chapel Church family in Louisville Georgia. Later, he joined the Berean Christian Church family in Stone Mountain, GA in May 2010.
Ethan graduated class Salutatorian of the 1976 Bicentennial class of Louisville High School. Afterwards, he attended Swainsboro Technical College where he acquired a Mechanical Master Plumbing license for Residential and Industrial Commercial Services. He was inspired to become a Master Plumber as he obtained skills and training for his love of plumbing while working under his father. He absolutely loved and looked up to his father. He became well known in the community through his affiliation and working as a Disc Jockey with WPEH radio station in Louisville, Georgia and was known as "Mr. Magic".
Ethan was a loving husband; a wonderful and supportive brother, a wonderful and caring uncle, and a great friend. He possessed a great wealth of knowledge that he didn't mind sharing. He was a great mentor to many and often served as a surrogate father-figure to many of his nieces and nephews. Throughout his life, he touched a lot of people. He loved his family and will be greatly and sorely missed.
Ethan was preceded in death by three brothers: Thomas III, Jesse, and David Pinkston;  and is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Charlene Wilson Pinkston of Augusta Georgia, his siblings, Edward (Lizzie) Pinkston, Louisville GA, Betty (Henry) Laster, Louisville GA, Penny (Jack) Gibbons, Louisville GA, Clara (George) Outler, Evans GA, Frankie (Tonia) Pinkston, Rossville GA, Mary (Eddie) Burley, Augusta GA, Ricky (Jewell) Pinkston, Louisville GA, Jewel (Fernandes) Robinson, Lithonia GA, Tyrone (Keisa) Pinkston, Loganville GA. Two Aunts, Mrs. Thelma Cooper of Vidette GA and Mrs. Martha Harmon of Louisville GA, two Sister in laws, Susie Wilson and Minister Darlene (James) Cobb Jr. and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
The Pinkston family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday November 29, at the funeral home.
The Pinkston family will gather at the residence of Betty & Henry Laster, 602 Ga Hwy 17 South, Louisville, Georgia 30434.
Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Louisville is in charge of arrangements.
