Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death of Mrs. Erin M. Corley, age 70, of Old Mitchell Road in Gibson who died Thursday afternoon September 16, 2021, in the Augusta University Medical Center.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday September 21, in the Friendship G Baptist Church in Mitchell with Rev. Wayne Hamilton officiating. Burial will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday September 22, in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. Pallbearers will be Ricky Corley, Tim Hobbs, Ian Nader, Thomas Nader, Jason Scurry & Joey Tidwell. Honorary Pallbearers will Deacons of Friendship G Baptist Church.

Erin was born September 2, 1951, in Augusta a daughter of the late Hasting Ford & Sadie Touchstone Ford. She retired from Blue Flame Gas Company after several years of service as a secretary and was a member of Friendship G Baptist Church in Mitchell.

Mrs. Corley was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Mitchell Corley, of Gibson, son & daughter in-law, Jeff & Evette Corley of Forsyth, daughter & son in-law, Kimberly & Jason Scurry of Gibson, 5 grandchildren, Elisa Corley, Abriana Corley McKenzie Nader, Thomas Nader, & Ian Nader, 1 great grandson, Zachary Hobby, sister, Patricia & John Wood of Gibson, brother, Jimmy Clary, of Gibson, several nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday September 20, at the funeral home.
