Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and memorial services of Mr. Eric Ryan Moats, 53, of Dobson, North Carolina, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025.

Eric was Born June 3, 1971, in Augusta, GA., to Lester Rogers Moats and Teresa Mole Draughn. Eric was a loving son, father, brother, friend, and devoted Christian. Eric was a graduate from Surry Central High School and Surry Community College.

Along with his parents, left to cherish his memory are his sons and daughters-in-law, Dylan Moats and Amber, and Ethan Moats and Holly Whitaker; step father, Ricky Draughn; step mother, Vicki Moats; sisters, Robin Narehood and Charla Miller; brother and sister-in-law, Brently Moats and Nadia; nieces and nephew, Jasmine Narehood, Nathan Narehood, Sophie Narehood, Marissa Miller, and Ivy Miller; aunts and uncles, Donna Moats, John and Gail Mole, Ginger and Joel Hardy, and Marty and Tammy Branch.

Graveside inurnment services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday March 15, 2025, in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Bartow with Rev. Steve Keener officiating. The Moates family will receive friends following the service.
