Emily Rose (Beckum) Morgan

August 15, 1921 — May 13, 2014

Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death & services for Mrs. Emily Rose Beckum Morgan, age 92 of Academy Drive, Louisville who died Tuesday morning May 13, 2014 at her residence.

Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 16, 2014 in the Louisville United Methodist Church with Dr. Randall Whitaker and Rev. David Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery.

A native of Louisville, Mrs. Morgan was a daughter of the late Robert Burch and Sallie Mae Mulling Beckum.  Emily retired from Jefferson EMC after 34 years of service as a secretary and was a member of the Louisville United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents, husband Stephen Thomas Morgan, Jr., and 9 siblings and is survived by son Stephen Thomas Morgan, III and his wife, Shirley of Sylvania; Grandson Stephen Thomas Morgan, IV and his wife, Kelly, Great Granddaughters, Mallory (Robby) Kearney, Meagan (Joseph) Hogan, Great-Great Grandchildren, Raygan Diane Kearney, Easton Beckum Kearney all of Harlem, granddaughters, Page Rountree, Stephanie (Robert) Farmer, great grandchildren, Ashley (Brett) Lamb, Corey Mock, Lige Farmer, great-great grandson, River Lamb all of Sylvania; several nieces & nephews.

The Morgan family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service on Friday.

In lieu of flowers family suggest memorials be made to a Children's Charity of the donor's choice.
