Elizabeth Winona (James) Adams

Mrs. Elizabeth W. Adams, age 89, of Bartow, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, in the Heritage of Old Capital Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, May 28 in the Old Bethel Baptist Church in Bartow with Rev. Randy Mimbs officiating. Pallbearers will be, Robert Huff, Max Walden, Jack Holland, David Helton, Raymond Headley, Ryan Headley and Alan Wasden. Interment services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday in the Cedar Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins, Georgia.
A native of Enfield, Illinois, Mrs. Adams was a daughter of the late Henry Edward James and Winona Palmiter James. She was the second youngest of thirteen children, a retired nurse, and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Adams; eight brothers and three sisters, and is survived by sons: Jon W. & Lorrie Cossins of Wright, WY, and Dennis J. & Sophia Cossins of Casa Grande, AZ; daughters: Shirley M. & Clyde King of Ruskin, FL, and Paula S. & Carl Weaver of Bartow; youngest sister, Mabel Williams of Cottage Hill, IL. 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, & cousins.
The Adams family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday May 27, at the funeral home.
