Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mary Elizabeth Cobb, aged 81, who peacefully passed away at her home on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

Services to celebrate Elizabeth's life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Old Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Finch officiating. Burial will follow in the Lambs Chapel Cemetery in Wadley. Pallbearers will be Morgan Williams, Bailey Wren, McKinley Newton, Patrick Blume, Jordan Hobbs and Tim Watkins.  Honorary Pallbearers will Deacons of Old Bethel Baptist Church and Members of the Ogeechee Valley Country Club.

Born to Horace and Mary Garrett, Elizabeth lived a life filled with devotion to her family, church, and community. Elizabeth enjoyed a fulfilling career as a clerk at Doctors Avery and Wright Dental, where she built many cherished relationships. In retirement, she indulged in her love of golf and was a dedicated supporter of the Ogeechee Valley Country Club. She also found peace and joy in gardening, fishing, and simply enjoying moments on her patio. She was a long-time member of Old Bethel Baptist Church and a Members of the Ogeechee Valley Country Club.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her daughter Angela C. Wren, her brother Richard Garrett, and her son-in-law Charles "Jet" Williams. Elizabeth is survived by her two loving children: Panda C. Arrington (James) and Leslie C. Newton (Ernie) and her son-in-law Barry Wren (Cyndi). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Adrienne Blume (Patrick), Ashley Watkins (Tim), Morgan Williams (Brooke), Kaylee Hobbs (Jordan), Josh Arrington, Bailey Wren (Tori), and McKinley Newton. Elizabeth was also blessed with great-grandchildren Lane Watkins, Wren Watkins, Parker Watkins, Charlie Blume, Hank Blume, Jemimah Williams, Adalyn Hobbs, and Angela James Wren, all of whom brought immense joy into her life.

Elizabeth's warm smile, kind heart, and generous spirit will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Old Bethel Baptist Church (1275 Old Bethel Church Bartow, GA 30413) in her memory, honoring her faith in the Lord and to the community she dearly loved.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday evening August 12, 2024, at the funeral home.
