Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Elder J. Pair Jr., age 91, of Hephzibah, who died Sunday afternoon, August 16, 2020 in the Comfort Creek nursing home in Wadley.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 21, 2020 at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, with Rev. Billy Carroll officiating.

A native of Eastpoint, GA Mr. Pair was the son of the late Elder J. Pair Sr. and the late Jessie Lois Pair. He was a retired veteran of the United States Army and the United States Air Force and attended Georgia Tech between his stints in the military and was a member of Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church in East Point.

Mr. Pair was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ruth Carroll Pair, and a sister, Virginia Ann Pair Eidson. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Pair Johnson, and 3 nephews, Richard D. Eidson, David J. Eidson, and Jeffrey S. Johnson, step sons, Billy Carroll and Allen Carroll of Hephzibah, and step daughters, Sissey Carroll Dozier of Hephzibah and Lucille Carroll Page of Metter.
