Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death Mrs. Doris Virgina Phillips, age 88 of Mitchell who died Monday morning April 21, 2025, at her home.

A native of Tucker, GA, she was a daughter of the late Jim Davis and Elizabeth Rowland Davis. For many years she was a care giver.

Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents, brother, J.C. Davis and a daughter, Janice Phillips and is survived by her husband Herbert Phillips of Mitchell, daughters, Kathy Hunsaker of Mitchell, and Laura Dunfee of Ball Grand, son, Rocky Phillips Lawrenceville, brother Herbert Davis of Cumming several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Phillips will be held at a later date by her family.

Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Gibson is in charge of arrangements.
