Mrs. Donna M. Bright Bridges, 71, loving wife of Don Bridges, entered into rest Sunday, August 23, 2026, at her residence.
Born June 8, 1955, in Augusta, GA, Donna was the daughter of Ercell & Betty Usry Miller who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her infant son Charles Jimmy Holley, Jr and her brother Keith Miller.
Survivors include her daughters, Rachelle Holley Robinson and Tiffany Bright (Justin), 2 stepson Billy Bridges and Chuck Bridges (Celesa), 2 Stepdaughters, Cassie Bridges and Candi Bridges, 5 grandchildren, Shayne Robinson, Michael Robinson (Ashley), Hunter Fallaw (Cheyenne), Rainy Fallaw (Holder), Kayos Wall, 4 step grandchildren, Ryan Bridges, CJ Bridges, Taylor Bridges, Emmy Bridges; her sister Debra M. Thompson (Robbie) and niece Leslie Duffy (Adam), 1 great grandchild Rayna Robinson. New arriving great grandchildren, Autum Robinson and Zander Fallaw.
A native of Glascock County, Donna graduated from Glascock County High School and worked many jobs and positions. Donna worked for Dr. Geraldine Hargrove at Augusta College, as an administrator to Dean Heartgrove, Augusta, GA and Savannah River Site as Dupont of training Coordinator. Where Donna found her passion was working as a Legal assistant to Harold Hinsley, Warrenton, GA, who went on to be Circuit court Judge; Legal assistance to Marty Craword and Pat Officer III, of Cookeville, TN.
Donna was a creative soul, she loved to cook, read, crochet, paint, color and needle point. She was always working on a project, a new painting, a new blanket for one of her babies, or cooking up a new recipe. Donna was always busy with something, even after retiring. She was a wonderful, caring, smart, funny and loving mother. Donna was a spoiling grandmother to her “Suga babies”. Donna was always someone you could talk to about anything and would give you her honest opinion with love and care.
A special thanks to Mike, Dana and Tammy from Heartland Hospice for taking such good care of Donna and the family in her final days.
A Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday August 29th, 2026, in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Gibson with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services.
