Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and memorial services for Mr. Donald "Donnie" Luther Jones, age 62 of Louisville, who died Saturday, June 8, 2019 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2019 in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Mr. Joe Cheeks officiating. Burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery.
A native of Louisville, Donnie was born in La Rochelle, France. He was the son of the late Dorothy McGahee Bishop and attended Appling County High School in Baxley, Georgia. He lived most of his life in Tennessee and was a National Sales Manager with Vestal Manufacturing Company in Sweetwater, Tennessee. Donnie was an avid deer and turkey hunter and enjoyed playing softball, but he loved football and the Tennessee Vols.
Donnie was preceded in death by his mother, his twin brother Ronnie W. Jones, and brother Wayne Jones. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories with family and friends; sister in law, Susan Jones, childhood friend, Charles "Pinky" Irby and Linda, and former wife, Kathy Jones, several nieces and nephews.
