Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and Funeral Services of Mr. Dennis Paul "Denny" Livesay, age 70, of Louisville who died Friday evening June 3, 2022, in the Piedmont Augusta University.

Funeral services to honor his life will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday June 7, 2022, in the Louisville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Underwood, Rev. Bill Cain, officiating. Burial will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be William Toulson, Kenny Johnson, Joel Lamb, Ronnie Bargaineer, Jamie Wheeler, L C Clark, Sr., Terry Knight, & Tim Williams, Honorary Pallbearers will be the Louisville Men's Community Bible Study group and the Barwick-Gay Sunday School Class.

Denny was born in Louisville on June 27, 1951, a son of Doyal Livesay & Virginia Grace Brown Livesay. He was a 1970 graduate of Louisville Academy. He had a strong work ethic his whole life and retired from Thermo-King after 44 years of service as a Parts Distributor and since October of 2009 he has been an associate of Taylor Funeral Home.  Denny was a long-time faithful member of Louisville First United Methodist Church and the Barwick-Gay Sunday School Class. He was always willing to help where he could for more than 20 years. He was a huge supporter of Thomas Jefferson Academy athletic department and could be found cooking at TJ home games and helping coach the kids. He was a member and loved to attend Louisville Men's Community Bible Study group. Mr. Livesay was an honorable man who loved his friends, his church, his community and his family but most of all the Lord. He was a role model for countless people in the community and leaves behind a legacy of service and selflessness. His community has greatly benefited from his efforts.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William Drake Livesay, sisters, Linda Diann Livesay Lamb and Doylene Livesay Knight and is survived by his children: Deina & Lance Spence of Louisville, Paul Livesay of Augusta, Jaclyn & Matt Justice of Swainsboro, two grandchildren who he loved more than life itself, Harrison Spence & Harper Spence, nephew Terry Knight of Abbeville, AL., niece Debbie Daniel of Villa Rica, and many lifelong friends.

The Livesay family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday evening June 6, at the funeral home.

For those desiring in lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Louisville First United Methodist Church, 301 W 7th St, Louisville, GA 30434, or to Thomas Jefferson Academy athletic department, 2264 US-1, Louisville, GA 30434.
