Mr. David Lindy Peebles, age 81 of Gibson, died Friday, November 29, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, December 2, in the Gibson First Baptist Church, with Dr. Dean Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Haywood, Jeremy Kelley, Larry W. Newsome, Travis Eric Hoague, Wes Haywood & Colen Todd, Jr.
Mr. Lindy was born in Gibson on November 26, 1932 a son of the late John Henry & Sabie Lee Palmer Peebles. He had worked as a construction carpenter with Knox-Rivers Construction Company and was a member of Gibson First Baptist Church.
Lindy was preceded in death by his parents, sister Hazel Irby, brother John H. Peebles, Jr., and is survived by a daughter Martha Ann (Anthony) Crossley of Sarasota, FL, and sisters Dahlia P. Haywood of Mitchell and Miriam Peebles of Gibson.
The family will receive friends 10:00 AM till 12:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
