Darlene Griswold Jones

Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and services of Mrs. Darlene Griswold Jones, age 54 of Gibson, who died on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 10, in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Gibson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until service time.

A native of Covington, GA, Darlene had lived most of her life in Glascock County. She was formerly employed with the diner in Gibson for over 20 years as a cook.

She is survived by her husband: Wayne Jones; sons: Timothy Jones, Josh Jones, & Thomas Jones, all of Gibson; stepson: Allen Jones of Thomson; sisters: Helen Rodriguez, Ruth Griswold, Hilda Norris, and Shirley Pinion; brother: Raymond Griswold; two grandchildren; Mattie Jones and Abby Jones; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Gibson is in charge of arrangements.
