Corene (Swint) Chalker

Mrs. Corene Swint Chalker, age 92, of 3037 Bastonville Road, died Wednesday in the Gibson Health and Rehabilitation Facility.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 14, in the Shoals Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Eddie Whidby. Burial will follow in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Anderson officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews and W.J. Faglier.
A native of Warren and Glascock Counties, Mrs. Chalker was the daughter of the late Apollis and Laura Brooks Swint. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Oswell Swint and sister Elene Swint and is survived by her husband of 66 years, Joe W. Chalker, daughter Joyce Elaine Fry and son-in-law Larry Fry of Huntsville, AL, two grandchildren Ed and Lisa Fry of Atlanta and Laura Ann and Todd Aronson of Madison, AL, five great-grandchildren: Madison Leigh, Lindsey Caroline and Davis William Fry, Taylor Marie and Alex Scott Aronson, brother-in-law Talmadge and Mary Chalker of Gibson, sister-in-law Peggiann Chalker of Wrens, 10 nephews and 6 nieces.
The Chalker family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 13, at the funeral home.
