Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and services of Mrs. Clara Kitchens Milburn, age 88 of Augusta, who died Wednesday morning September 30, 2020 in the Keysville Nursing Home in Keysville.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday October 3, 2020 in the Sheppard Memorial Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home Gibson with Rev. Tommy Harwell officiating. Because of the family's concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requires that social distancing, masks, and other safety precautions be followed. Burial will follow in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ben Evangelista, Allen Underwood, Dave Roderick, Jason Kitchens, Xavier Curry, and Chris Clark.

A native of Jefferson County, Clara was the daughter of the late Robert Usry and Irene LaFavor Usry. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She retired from Healthtex as a supervisor, and for more than 50 years worked in the textile industry.

Ms. Milburn is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Kitchens, brothers, Robert Lee, and Marvin Usry. She is survived by, daughters Linda (Ben) Evangelista of Augusta, Gail (Allen) Underwood of Mitchell, Beverly (Dave) Roderick of Charleston, SC., son, Steve Kitchens of Lawrenceville, brothers, James Usry of Harlem, Douglas (Nancy) Usry of Americus, sisters in law, Lillie Ansley, Billie Stephenson of Kennesaw, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer Association, 106 SRP Dr, Evans, GA 30809.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the kindnesses and love given by Keysville Nursing Home.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Saturday at the Funeral Home.
