Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and services of Mrs. Cynthia Jones Kelly Williamson, 70, who went to her heavenly home on Thursday, June 25, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Louisville, Georgia on May 25, 1956, the daughter of the late Margaret Lamb Jones and Frank Edgar (Redbird) Jones, Jr.
Cindy’s professional journey began as a laboratory technician at Jefferson Hospital. Later she and her sister co-owned Joy’s Flower Cart where they lovingly shared their talents with the community. Because of her love for creativity and retail, her vision of owning a boutique came to life with “The Peachtree”. For many years this store operated at the corner of Peachtree and West Ninth St. before moving to downtown Louisville and later to Augusta, GA.
She was a life-long Methodist and a member of the Louisville Methodist Church. As an active member of her church, she served in many capacities including trustee and worship committees. She graciously volunteered to spearhead the Bill Newberry Helping Hands project. Her many talents were used throughout the church, but everyone looked forward to the beautiful and exquisite creations she made for the annual Christmas bazaar.
She placed her whole heart in God’s care and faithfully honored the gift He had bestowed upon her. She was at peace.
Her parents and her brother, Stanley (Stan) Brinson Jones preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Sumner (Dale) Williamson, son, Thomas (Tom) Benjamin Kelly, IV, her grandchildren, Madison Rose Kelly, Hunter James Kelly, Makenzie Diane Coleman, and Cierra Linder Royal, her sister, Margaret Ann Jones Gay, her brother and his wife, Frank E. Jones, III and Carol, sisters-in law, Jane Cox Jones and Lee Williamson Riner. Cindy is also survived by her husband’s children, Christopher Dale Williamson and Lauren Williamson Dunham and her husband Ted, as well as their two children, Shelby and Jack.
A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held on Sunday, June 28 at 3 p.m. at Louisville Methodist Church. Family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
If so desired, memorials may be made in Cindy’s memory to Bill Newberry Helping Hands Ministry, C/O Louisville Methodist Church, P. O. Box 269, Louisville, GA 30434 or Louisville Food Pantry, C/O Blanche Green, 718 Nelms Street, Louisville, GA 30434.
