Mr. Calvin Mack McCoy, age 75 of Hwy 102 SE, Gibson died Sunday evening, May 12, 2013 in the University Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 15 in the Gibson Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Chance officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
Mr. McCoy was a native of Warren County a son of the late George and Clyd Johnson McCoy. Calvin served in the US Army was a supervisor for the Briar Creek Soil and Water Conservation, he was a former member of the Moose Club and VFW in Thomson and retired from Civil Service from Ft. Gordon, and He was a member of Gibson Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Henry, Frank and Roland McCoy, sons Barry Wayne McCoy, Lavaughn Crunkelton, Bruce Rodney Crunkelton, sister Evie Lou Herald. Mr. McCoy is survived by his wife Hilda McCoy of Gibson, daughter Sherie Ann and TJ Midla of Augusta, sons Mark and Gina McCoy of Leebury, SC, Jack Crunkelton and Freddie Kay of Gibson, Jeff and Diane Crunkelton of Gibson, sister Patsy and Jeff Fergeron of Mt. Arie, GA, brother GW and Ruth McCoy of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family may be contacted at the residence or at Sheppard Funeral Home where they will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 14.
