Brenda J. Cawley

Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death of Mrs. Brenda J. Cawley, age 54 of 6900 Nunn Road, Mitchell, Georgia who died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at her residence.

Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, March 9 in the Mitchell City Cemetery with Rev. Jacky Downs officiating.  Pallbearers will be Edward Parnell, Kyle Davis, Cody Rich, Dustin Rich, Jessie Quarles and Cuz.

A native of Rogersville, TN Mrs. Cawley was the daughter of the late Franklin Eugene and Betty Jean Stapleton Akers. She was a retired florist with Ingles Floral Department in Wrens and a member of the Mitchell Full Gospel Church.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Gary L Cawley and is survived by her children David and Samantha Akers of Hawkinsville,  Rebecca Hope Albea of Gibson, and Jimmy and Hope Akers of Cornelia, brothers Franklin Akers of Wrens, Charlie Akers of Alto, Bobby Akers of Thomson and Andy Akers of Alto, 8 grandchildren Emma Rose Akers, Garrett Akers, Kristian Kitchens, Dillion Akers, Dalton Akers, Gauge Albea, Cabella Albea, Dillion Craft, and Julianne Akers, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Cawley family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, March 8 at the Funeral Home.

Taylor Funeral Home 57 College Place, Gibson is in charge of arrangements.
