Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Mr. James Robert "Bob" Tatum, age 83 who passed away in his home in Louisville on January 15, 2023, after a prolonged battle with cancer.

In keeping with Bob's wishes there will be no formal service at this time but a time for family and friends to gather will be held at a later date.

Bob was born in Mocksville, NC to loving parents, George, and Gladys Tatum. He always spoke fondly of his childhood and was looking forward to a heavenly reunion. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard and the United States Army Reserves.

Bob and his wife Judy served for many years as missionaries in Mexico. Bob was always eager to share his faith and the salvation message of the Gospel. If you have ever met Bob, you have been asked this question, "Do you know Jesus?"  He devoted his life and ministry to sharing the Gospel. But most importantly, he lived it.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jack Tatum & George Dickens and is survived by his wife Judy Tatum of Louisville his three children Chris (Michelle) Tatum of Memphis, TN, Kelly (Scott) White of Savannah, and LeeAnna Tatum of Claxton; three grandsons, Cameron (Shelbye) Tatum, Zackery Tatum, and Caleb Tatum; and great-granddaughter Reece Tatum.
