LOUISVILLE
Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and services of Mr. Billy Samples, age 72 of Horse Shoe Road, Louisville, who died Monday Evening, May 18, 2015.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, May 21, 2015 in the Louisville City Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Witt officiating. Pallbearers will be Danny Beckworth, Glenn Davis, Melvin Hadden, Larry Cheely, Gee Bowles and Bill Lamb. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Finley, John Finley and Wilson Watkins.
A native of Louisville, Billy was a son of the late Robert and Christine Hadden Samples. He retired from farming and Ogeechee Oil Company in Louisville as a fuel delivery truck driver, and was a member of Du Harts Baptist Church. Billy lived his life to the fullest.
Mr. Samples is preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his loving wife; Loretta Samples of Louisville, sons; Robert and Angela Samples of Wrens and Cyrus and Jo Samples of Gulf Port, Mississippi, grandchildren; Jessica Sherman, Julie Samples Cavanaugh, Ashley Samples Connell and Kristen Samples Rodriguez, great grandchildren; Tyler Cavanaugh and Abigail Rodriguez, brother; Bob White and Cynthia Samples of North Augusta, South Carolina, several nieces and nephews.
The Samples family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 20th in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Louisville First Baptist Church, 101 E 9th Street, Louisville, Georgia 30434.
