Billy Joe Pearson

Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Billy Joe Pearson, age 53 of Steephollow Road, Gibson, Ga., who died Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in the University Hospital, McDuffie.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 11, 2017 in the Gibson Church of God with Rev. Stacy Williford and Rev. Tim Hicks officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be:  Frank Youngblood, Wess Haywood, Michael Gilmore, Gerald Davis, Vern Perry and Rusty Smith.

A native of Warrenton, Ga., Billy was a son of the late Harvey Pearson and Melba King Pearson of Warrenton. He was a mechanic with B & H Transfer in Sandersville, Ga., and attended Gibson Church of God. He loved his family, fishing and the Atlanta Braves.

Billy was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his loving wife, Brandie Pearson of Gibson; daughters, Ashley Haywood & Wess of Mitchell, Mindy Marsh & Kevin of Mitchell, Sabrina Pearson and Madie Joe Pearson, of Gibson; son, Nicholas Pearson of Gibson; grandchildren, Kaylee Marsh, Adalynn Marsh and Presley Haywood; mother, Melba Pearson of Warrenton; brother, Roger Avery of Warrenton; father and mother in law, Bobby & Teresa Williams of Gibson.

The Pearson family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 10, 2017 in the funeral home. Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Care of Gibson is in charge of arrangements.
