Betty A. Blagg

Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Mrs. Betty Alice Blagg, age 86 of Bartow, who died Tuesday, May 27, 2014.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date by Taylor Funeral Home Louisville.

A native of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Mrs. Blagg was a daughter of the late Glen and Velma Brown Huston. Betty was a housewife, member of the Ladies Golf Association at the Ogeechee Valley Country Club where she was an avid golfer, member of Old Bethel Baptist Church for 35 years and loved to garden.

Mrs. Blagg was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and granddaughter Cher.  She is survived by her loving husband  of 68 years, Charles Victor Blagg of Bartow, son Dave (Carol) Blagg of Louisville, daughter Sue (Heyward) Wells of Stapleton, grandchildren: Chad (Brooke) McDowell, Amber (Travis) Howell, Keri Blagg, Andy (Margaret) Blagg, Shannon (Jeff) Smith Tesie (Mark) Bowles, and Sonny (Teresa) Wells, great-grandchildren: Mallory, Gracie, Seth, Dalton, Ryan, Andrew, Emma, Anna Grace, Caroline, Kristin, Ward, Reid and Emily, sister Lou Duncan, several nieces and nephews.

The family request memorials be made to Old Bethel Baptist Church, 1275 Old Bethel Church Rd, Bartow, GA 30413 or United Hospice, 667 S. Main St.,  Swainsboro, GA 30401.
