Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and services of Mrs. Bessie Bales Moore, age 75, of Moore Road Avera, Georgia who died Wednesday evening, August 17, 2016 in the Gibson Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 20, 2016 in the Walden United Methodist Church with Rev. Sam Griswell and Rev. Tommy Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be:  Jeffery Davis, Greggory Roper, Kristopher Tarnow, Keith Walden, John Padgett and John Bales, Jr.   Honorary pallbearers will be:  John Bales, Sr., Tim Padgett and S. J. Bradford.

A native of Mitchell, Georgia, Mrs. Moore was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Arvell Dixon Bales.  She was a seamstress with Stapleton Garment Factory for over 20 years and a member of Walden United Methodist Church.

Bessie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Moore and grandson, Nickolas Tarnow and is survived by daughters, Christine Moore Roper of Avera and Linda Swint (Sidney) of Gibson; adopted daughters, Kristy Gardner of Gibson and Beth Dawson Snyder of Gibson; sister, Ann Bradford of Gibson, brother, David Bales of Gibson; grandsons, Jeffery Davis of Gibson, Kristopher Tarnow of Gibson, Greggory Roper of Grovetown and William Roper, Jr. of Anniston, Alabama; granddaughter, Amanda Roper of Anniston, Alabama; 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The Moore family will received friend 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, August 19, 2016 at the funeral home.
