Barbara (Powell) Lampp

Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services for Mrs. Barbara P. Lampp, age 82 of Lampp Road, Gibson, who died Tuesday, October 13, 2015, in the Gibson Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 16, in the Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Sam Collins and Rev. Tommy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: David Lampp, Stevie Lampp, Richard Brassell, James Powell, Jeff Ashley, and Michael Power. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Sunday school class of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Barbara was a native of Jefferson County, but had lived in Gibson for many years. She was a daughter of the late Ralph Powell and Lucy Maye Arrington Powell. She retired after 32 years of service from Stapleton Garment as a machine operator and was a long time member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Lampp was preceded in death by her parents and a brother; Walter Powell and is survived by her beloved husband; T. J. Jabor Lampp, daughter; Ann Marsh, sons; Lewis Lampp and Tom Lampp, all of Gibson, sisters; Susie Brown of Augusta, Betty Alley of Harlem, brothers; Joe Powell of Harlem, Homer Powell of Blairsville, John Powell of Augusta, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The Lampp family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, October 15, at the funeral home.
