Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. Arnold Gerrell (Buddy) Faircloth, age 82 of Beech Island, SC, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in University Hospital, Augusta, Ga.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 29, 2017 in the Jackson Bible Church with Rev. Allen Cantrell and Rev. Royce Hullett officiating. Mr. Faircloth will lie in state for 1:00 until the funeral hour. Pallbearers will be:  Isaac Cantrell, Jeremiah Cantrell, Nathan Cantrell, Luke Cantrell, Jeff Gower and Christopher Sims. Honorary Pallbearers: Ronald Buice, Donnie Dover, Danny Webster and Walter West. The family will receive friends following the service in the church.

Mr. Faircloth will lie in state in the Oakland Baptist Church in Hazlehurst, GA Saturday December 30, from 11:00 until 11:30 AM followed by a Graveside services at 11:30 in the Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery.

A native of Dublin, GA, Mr. Faircloth was the son of the late Charlie King Faircloth and Josie Victoria Stafford Faircloth. He retired after 23 years of service as a fireman with the Dekalb County Fire Department and was a member of the Jackson Bible Church since 2008. He was also a dedicated teacher and Deacon throughout his life at Indian Creek Baptist Church, Sharon Baptist Church and Oakland Baptist Church.

Mr. Faircloth was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Annie Ruth Faircloth of Beech Island, SC; daughters and sons in law, Lynda and James Sims of Lawrenceville, Gail and Allen Cantrell of Jackson, SC, son and daughter in law, Jonathan and Suzanne Faircloth of Cumming, Grandchildren, Toni-Marie Gower, Isaac Cantrell, Jeremiah Cantrell, Chris Sims, Nathan Cantrell, Luke Cantrell, Pippa Faircloth;  Great grandchildren : Kylie Gower, Adallyn Cantrell, Micah Cantrell, Conner Sims, Nate Cantrell, Brooke Sims, Caleb Cantrell, Colton Cantrell ,Hallie Cantrell, Leah Sims, Cooper Cantrell.

Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Care of Louisville is in charge of arrangements.
